Welcome to Roundabout Talking News

Who are we?

Roundabout Talking News is an entirely volunteer-run registered charity in Horsham, West Sussex. Originally set up in 1978, we have provided a free weekly recording to the visually impaired of the district ever since.

What do we do?

Excerpts from the West Sussex County Times are recorded onto memory sticks which are then distributed to residents for them to listen to the sticks on dedicated players as a local news service. As well as items taken from the West Sussex County Times, there is also a magazine recording which covers other items of interest for our listeners.

Roundabout Talking news has become a much relied upon service by those members of our community that would otherwise not have access to our local newspaper. The informal chats in the magazine section of the weekly recording provide our listeners with a welcome sense of community.

Can we Help?

If you, or someone you know, is registered blind or partially sighted, we can provide a free weekly recording of Roundabout Talking News together with a speaker system if required.

Roundabout Talking News is a Registered Charity(No 276417)
